Meeting of GFF executive committee was held on Friday. The executive committee fixed the date of the next GFF congress – it is July 28. The committee appointed members of ethic committee but the main issue was the current situation in “Zestafoni”. The position of Ilia Kokaia, president of the club, is the following: if the government helps football, then it must finance all clubs equally or it must seek investors for all of them. If none of them is done, then the club will fall into pieces. The federation received this message in the afternoon. On Monday fans of “Zestafoni” are going to hold a demonstration under the slogan: “If “Dila” Gori is financed what is the fault of “Zestafoni”?!”

After the end of the executive committee we talked to Zviad Sichinava, president of GFF.

“We received this information one hour ago and it was the main issue at the meeting. We will arrive in Zestafoni at 12:00 tomorrow. Representatives of local football federations will be there. We will talk to minister of Sport today, - stated Sichinava, - I said yesterday and I repeat once again, the government must help all clubs. It does not matter whether this help will be salary, infrastructural or sponsorship. I will say it in Zestafoni and everywhere. I will support all clubs. I must say that I understand position of Kokaia. He has been in football for a long time and has done a lot not only for Zestafoni but for the Georgian football. He is my friend and I want to ask him not to leave the club in this position”.
