Zaza Pachulia and Tornike Shengelia were going to arrive in Slovenia in order to support the Georgian national team but they cannot do it because both of them are taking rehabilitation course under the supervision of their teams’ representatives. Merab Ratishvili, general deputy of Georgian Basketball Federation, informed us with this information. Ratishvili is in Lasko with Besik Liparteliani, president of the federation, and Lasha Dzidzava, adviser of the federation. Ratishvili mentioned that Pachulia and Shengelia wanted to support the Georgian national team in Slovenia but the representatives of their teams decided to finish the rehabilitation course in the USA. Of course, Pachulia and Shengelia obeyed their request.

Our team is preparing for today’s game against Poland. The team is in fighting mood. The basketball players stated today’s game is very important for their team.

We met basketball players and coaches of the Polish national team at “Thermana Lasko” hotel. They did not make comments. “Without offence but we do not make comments for mass media of our opponent team before the game. We are preparing for the game against Georgia. We know this game is very important for the both teams. Everything will be decided on the arena” – representative of the Polish national team told us.

Activity of both teams’ fans will be important. We know that the group of the Georgian fans will arrive in Celje. We do not know how many fans there will be but according to the information, our compatriots from Slovenia and neighboring countries will support the Georgian national team. A small group of fans and veteran basketball players arrived from Georgia as well.
