After the 6th round of the XIV European championship passing in Belgrade on chess among women there were two Georgians among leaders: Nino Khurtsidze (2443) who with 5.5 points is the individual leader, and Salome Melia (2428) who is behind her, together with four other participants, with a point, but with additional indicators taking the second place.
In the 6th round Georgians won with black figures: Khurtsidze beat Russian Aleksandra Goryachkina (2401), and Melia beat Bulgarian Antuaneta Stefanova (2497).

The tournament passes in 11 rounds and comes to the end on August 3rd. The prize fund of tournament makes 60000 EUR, from where the champion will receive 10 500, the silver medal winner – 8 250, the bronze medal winner - 6 500, and other sum will be divided on 20 best chess players.
