Bela Khotenashvili (2492) has the best result from the Georgians. She is in the 15th place with 4.0 points. Levan Pantsulaia (2556), Mikheil Mchedlishvili (2640) and Konstantine Shanava (2578) have 3.5 points. They took the 28th, 30th and 59th places.
Sophiko Khukhashvili (2386) is in the 59th place with 3.0 points. Maka Purtseladze (2347) is in the 80th place with the same points.
Today the chess players will play blitz. The sixth round games will be held on April 13. Khotenashvili will play against Parligras of Romania (2602), Mchedlishvili – against Oleksienko of Ukraine (2554), Pantsulaia – against Sokolov of Holland (2643) and Shanava – against Shyam of India (2505).
The tournament is based on Swiss system and will finish on April 15. Prize money of the Dubai tournament is 50 000 USD. Champion will win 10 000 USD. The money will be distributed this way: II place – 7 000; III place – 4 000; IV – 3 500; V – 2 500;...
