Georgian top seed Anna Tatishvili lost the first singles match of “Baku Cup” (235 000 USD) but she has a successful start in doubles draw.

Tatishvili and Serbian Vesna Dolonc defeated Azerbaijani Farhad and Uzbek Sharipova 6:1, 6:1 in 51 minutes.

Tatishvili and Dolonc earned 70 ranking points. In ¼ final they will face either Czech duet or Uzbek-Ukrainian pair.

Oksana Kalashnikova and Ukrainian Irina Buryachok won over Cadantu of Romania and Ferrer-Suarez of Spain 6:1, 6:2 and earned 70 points.

In ¼ final Kalashnikova and Buryachok will play Belarusian Kremen and Russian Melnikova who beat Tamar Chalaganidze and Azerbaijani Jafarova 6:2, 6:0.

In 1/8 final of the Astana tournament (125 000 USD) Nikoloz Basilashvili lost to Konstantin Kravchuk of Russia 0:6, 4:6.

At the Istanbul tournament (10 000 USD) Mikheil Khmiadashvili defeated Mert Altinalev and Arda Uzumcu 6:0, 6:2 and 6:3, 7:6 (7:4). In the main draw Khmiadashvili lost to Robert Coman of Romania 6:2, 5:7, 5:7. Giorgi Javakhishvili lost to Matthieu Roy of France 6:7 (6:8), 2:6 and Giorgi Tsivadze – to Finn Tearney of New Zealand 2:6, 4:6.

Aleksandre Metreveli beat Jack Carpenter of Great Britain 6:3, 4:6, 6:1. In 1/8 final the Georgian will play Alex Llompart of Puerto Rico.

In doubles draw Metreveli and Tsivadze defeated Adanali and Zincirli 6:2, 5:7, 10:3. In ¼ final they lost to Llompart and Tearney 3:6, 5:7.
