Georgian tennis players have successful start at the Namangan tournament (Uzbekistan, 25 000 USD).

No.7 seed Sofia Shapatava beat one of the winners of the qualifying draw Emily Webley-Smith 6:2, 6:4 and in 1/8 final the Georgian will play against Polina Vinogradova of Russia.

Oksana Kalashnikova will play in the second round too. She defeated Elizaveta Kulichkova of Russia 6:4, 6:2. Now the Georgian will play against Lyudmyla Kichenok of Ukraine.

In doubles Shapatava and Uzbek Nigina Abduraimova won over Turkish Eraydin and Sezer. In ¼ final they will play against Ukrainian Kichenok sisters.

Giorgi Tsivadze lost doubles draw of the Antalya tournament (Turkey, 10 000 USD). The Georgian and Belarusian Yahor Yatsyk lost to No.1 seed Argentine duet 5:7, 4:6.
