Vazha Tarkhnishvili: "I should have been a Voice of Kuchuk on the Field"

Sports director of “Sheriff” Tiraspol Vazha Tarkhnishvili described the current head coach of “Locomotive” Moscow Leonid Kuchuk, under whose leadership he played in the Moldovan club in 2004-2011.

“Stanislavovic” knows all about his players - whose child got sick, who quarreled with wife and so on. He was like a father for us. He could enter the room of the player at any time and just for talk, discuss problems. We felt that he was whole-heartedly with us, due which nothing special situations was happening in the team. Herewith he is very punctual, I do not remember that he ever go somewhere late even for a minute.

His son Lesha Kuchuk played for “Sheriff”. He is still considered as the best bombardier of the club’s history. However he got from his father most. Even though he has played well, but the team has not achieved the result.

He always told me that I should be his voice on the field. When his voice could not reach to the players, then I had to dictate them. That’s why we talked much about football and discussed how we should play.

I do not know what “Stanislavovic” is doing beyond football. In my opinion he is not interested in anything else. He lives and breathes with football. I cannot imagine him rested. Even when he was on vacation we talked about football by phone. Football is whole life for him” – said Tarkhnishvili to Sport.mail.ru.
