The last day of World Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship 2014 is under way in Tashkent. Champions and prize winners of 59, 71 and 98 kg will be found out in the evening. The Georgian team finished participation in the major tournament of the season. None of 8 Georgian wrestlers got in Top 3.
Today Goderdzi Davitadze (59 kg), Mindia Tsulukidze (71 kg) and Vasil Imerlishvili (98 kg) lost the first stage.
Davitadze beat Fouad Fajari of Morocco 5:0 but then failed to Ismael Borrero of Cuba – 1:7.
Tsulukidze lost to Justin Lester of America (0:5). Imerlishvili failed to Zhanarbek Kabdolov of Kazakhstan (0:1).
The Georgians lost bronze medal chance because the wrestlers they lost to could not make through to final.
