Tornike Okriashvili: "Visa Expired and This was a Problem of Leaving"

Tornike Okriashvili, attacking midfielder of Georgian national team and “Genk”, is already in Belgium and has trained with the team.

As you know, according to the Belgian nieuwsblad.be, Georgian football player returned to the club later after the team’s pause, which caused discontent of Alex McLeish, head coach of “Genk”.

“World Sport” contacted Okriashvili in Belgium and asked to clear up the situation.

Tornike Okriashvili: “The visa expired and this was a problem of leaving. I still do not have a long-term visa. 15-day visa was made for me yesterday”.

-The Belgian site reported that Alex McLeish is upset on you. Have you spoken to him?

-Everything is fine. I did not feel resentment. I spoke to coach yesterday and today, at the training, he was well disposed towards me. It is not my fault that I had not arrived in time, otherwise I should not have gone to the team. Playing for the national team is very important for me. This does not mean that I did not want to arrive in time, or I had a desire of missing a workout, I just had a visa problem.
