The return of Olympic Champion Lasha Shavdatuashvili was delayed for minimum two weeks. 21-year-old judoka was operated after Olympic Games and has recently started trainings. He had the last meeting with the national team in Tbilisi, but after the meeting he again got a trauma.
“While training I hurt my knee.  After the first examination doctors started talking about the need of operation, but fortunately, I do not need it and I will return the gym soon. But I will not be able to wrestle at Paris Grand Prix. I have never wrestled at this the most prestige tournament and I was doing my best while preparing for a debut. Supposedly I start the season with Dusseldorf “Grand Prix” (February 23-24)”-told Shavdatuashvili to “World Sport”.
