Ana Tatishvili continues successful game at the American Tournament (25 000 USD). The Georgian tennis player after winning Macon tournament, played in the final of Rock Hill tournament and few minutes ago she got the main prize of Florence tournament.
#4 seed Tatishvili celebrated 5 victories. In the initial rounds, Ana overcame Americans – Chalena Shole and Josy Kulman 6:0, 6:1 and 6:1, 6:1. In the ¼ final defeated #6 seed Catalina Castano 6:2, 6:0, then she overcame again Americans – in the semifinal Eizha Muhamad 6:3, 6:3 and in the final Madison Brengle (#3 seed) 6:2, 4:6, 6:4.
From the accounts it seems that she had the most difficult battle in the final meetind and during the tournament she lost the only set in the final. The Georgian batted one ace in the match against Brengle and made 8 double mistakes, and the opponent had zero in both graph. Tatishvili used 8 break-points of 17. In total, Ana earned 101 points and Brengle – 92.
Due to this victory, Georgian tennis player earned 50 ranking points, but in the future classification another 34 points, which she earned in the Rock Hill tournament, will be add. Currently, Ana has 397 points in WTA ranking and is in the 158th place.
It should be also said, that next week Tatishvili will play in New Brownphels tournament (50 000 USD), where she will be presumably #6 seed.
Ekaterine Gorgodze missed very few steps to win the Antalya tournament (10 000 USD). #7 seed Georgian won 4 matches without losing a set, but in the final she lost to Russian Anastasia Rudakova 1:6, 0:6.
Sopo Shapatava lost the final match of the doubles tournament (25 000 USD) in Hamamatsu (Japan). In the decisive match, the Georgian and Belinda Bencini (Switzerland) lost to Japanese duet (Shuko Aoyama – Junri Namigata) 4:6, 3:6.
