A few days ago, Mikheil Kavelashvili criticized Akaki Khubutia in the program “Football Arena”. The talk is about discussing the match of Georgia-Ireland.

Statement of Akaki Khubutia:

“Kavelashvili does not take this loss very close to heart as I do. He speaks from the ambushed position. I think that the team’s former player should not speak so. I do not escape from the responsibility. I know, that it was not a good-played game and not only from my side. I apologize all the fans for this, but when former player speaks so and herewith, has not achieved success in the team, in my opinion it is not justified”.

As for Khubutia’s future, he is without a club yet. Akaki left “Hapoel” Israel.

“The club could not fulfill financial guarantees. The sponsor left “Hapoel” and I was offered less salary, but I refused. I have heard about the financial news in Georgia, 2 days before the match against Ireland. I am a free agent and my contract was not even registered in the Israeli Football Federation. When the club treats the player in this way, the player will not have a desire to stay. This is the last two matches results of “Hapoel”: at first it lost 0:6, then 0:4. Now I am a free agent and soon I will find out the name of my future team”.
