After losing two games at the second group stage of Eurocup, “Zaragoza” of Giorgi Shermadini and Viktor Sanikidze played a perfect game and defeated “Lietuvos Rytas” of Lithuania 94:60 on its “Pabellon Principe Felipe”.

6725 spectators attended the game. The fate of the game was decided in the first half which the Aragon club won with 19 points.

Shermadini was in lineup. He earned 11 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 assist in 21:05 minutes.

Giorgi scored 4 from 5 2 points and all 3 free throws. He had only one turnover and did not commit a foul. Four fouls were committed against him.

The coefficient of Shermadini was 20 and he was behind only Michael Roll who gained 29 points.

As for Sanikidze, he earned 4 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist in 18:50 minutes. The Georgian forward did not have a turnover and received 1 personal foul.

“Zaragoza” coached by Jose Luis Abo is in the third place in Group P of Eurocup.

“Besiktas” Istanbul and “Cedevita” of Croatia are in the first-second places. They will play each other in Zagreb today. If the Croats lose, “Zaragoza” will be in the second place.

“Zaragoza” will hold the next game against “Lietuvos Rytas” on January 28. The Vilnius club will host the game.
