Shengelia Returned to NBA with 2 Points

After two games in NBA D League, the Georgian basketball player Tornike Shengelia returned to “Brooklyn Nets” and played the last 03:42 minutes against “Toronto Raptors” (80:96).

“Nets” visited Canada with 5 wins but the club could do nothing against “Raptors” in front of 20 000 fans on “Air Canada Centre”.

Kevin Garnett, Brook Lopez and Deron Williams could not help “Nets” due to injuries. Paul Pierce (15), Alan Anderson (13) and Joe Johnson (11) led the team.

Shengelia showed up at the last minutes. He scored 2 points, received one personal foul. Like the Georgian, Tyshawn Taylor also returned to “Nets”.

“Brooklyn” has 15 wins and 22 losses. The club is in the second place in Atlantic Division and in the 8th place in Eastern Conference. The club of Shengelia will hold the next game against “Atlanta Hawks” on January 17.

The captain of the Georgian national team resumed practicing but he will not  return to the arena yet. According to Larry Drew, head coach of “Bucks”, the Georgian center needs several weeks for the rehabilitation.

“Milwaukee” played “Thunder” in Oklahoma City and lost 85:101.

“Bucks” has 7 wins and 29 losses and is in the last place. The club of Pachulia will hold the next game against “Toronto Raptors” on January 14.
