Sopo Shapatava had a successful day at the tournament (25 000 USD) in Hamamatsu (Japan). In the singles, Georgian tennis player (#3 seed) won over Japanese Miu Kato 6:2, 6:7 (4:7), 6:2 and went through the 1/8 final, where she will face also Japanese Shuko Aoyama.

Shapatava is already in the semifinal of the doubles tournament, where she plays with Belinda Bencini (Switzerland). Georgian and Swiss duet won over Japanese tandem (Kumiko Yuma – Akiko Yonemura)  7:6 (7:4), 6:3 in the ¼ final. For getting through the final, they will face also Japanese duet – Eri Hozumi/Makoto Ninomia (#3 seed)

Ekaterine Gorgodze celebrated her second victory at the tournament (10 000 USD) in Antalya. #7 seed Georgian overcame Russian Yana Mogilnitskaya 6:3, 6:2 and went through the ¼ final, where she plays against Mary Benua (Belgium).

In the doubles ¼ final, Gorgodze and Ekaterina Tsiklauri (Russia) will face #1 seed same Benua and another representative of Belgium, Cimerman.
