Georgian tennis player Sofia Shapatava finished participation in singles draw of the Istanbul tournament (Turkey, 50 000 USD). However, the Georgian has a successful start in doubles draw.

Shapatava and Ukrainian Valentyna Ivakhnenko are No.1 seed duet. In the first round they beat Canadian Dubois and Bosnian Tinjic 6:4, 6:2. In ¼ final Shapatava and Ivakhnenko will play against Polish-Turkish duet (Jegiolka-Sezer).

Maka Chakhnashvili could not make through to the main draw of the Chiasso tournament (Switzerland, 25 000 USD). In the qualifying draw the Georgian tennis player defeated Italian Giada Clerici 6:2, 6:3 and Swiss Xenia Knoll 2:6, 5:7.

Oksana Kalashnikova celebrated the first victory at the Andijan tournament (Uzbekistan, 10 000 USD). No.5 seed Georgian girl beat Vlada Ekshibarova of Uzbekistan 6:2, 6:2. In 1/8 final Oksana will play against another Uzbek Yana Khon.

Nikoloz Basilashvili got in the main draw of the Savannah Challenger (50 000 USD) as “lucky loser”. However, he was losing to Somdev Devvarman of India 4:6 when he retired.
