Outstanding athletes 2013 were awarded at the annual congress of the National Olympic Committee of Georgia in Tbilisi “Marriott”.

GNOC named Giorgi Chrikishvili, member of judo team, European champion and world silver medalist, as the best athlete of the year.

Mariam Janashvili (judo) and Geno Petriashvili (freestyle wrestler) took awards in the nomination for the Olympic hope. Janashvili became the champion of Europe in 2013, she wrestled in the final of the World Championship and won the bronze medal at the Youth Olympic Festival. As for Petriashvili, he became World and European champion among young adults and won the bronze medals at the Europe and World Championships among elders.
