The Georgian judo team will start World Team Championship with France. Nodar Metreveli will join the team of Irakli Uznadze. Metreveli will be paired with Adam Okruashvili (+90 kg).

There are 16 teams in the draw. In case of beating France, the Georgians will face either Mongolia or Algeria in ¼ final. The most real opponent in semifinal is Japan.

Russia, Colombia, Cuba, Uruguay, Brazil, Germany, Kazakhstan and South Korea are at the top of the draw.

Team Championship will be held in five weight categories: 66, 73, 81, 90 and +90 kg.
