“Montepaschi” of Viktor Sanikidze beat “Emporio Armani” Milan in the first ¼ final game of Italian Championship. The Georgian forward played his role in this victory.
The club of Sanikidze won the first quarter 24:13 and finally, beat the opponent 92:73. The club minimized the difference till minimum – 1:2.
One of the leaders of the Georgian national team was not in lineup. He played for 16 minutes, earned 7 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist. Sanikidze scored 1 from 2 3-point and all four free throws. He had one turnover, received 4 personal fouls and four fouls were committed against him.
Viktor had 11 coefficients. David Moss (26 points), Daniel Hackett (20 points) and Bobby Brown (20 points) had better coefficients than the Georgian.
On May 16 “Montepaschi” will host “Emporio Armani” in Siena and in case of victory it will restore the balance. The club needs to win four games. If it is necessary, the decisive 7th game will be held on May 22.
