“Montepaschi” of Viktor Sanikidze lost the second away game to “Cimberio Varese” in semifinal of the Italian Championship. However, “Montepaschi” is in better situation than its opponent because it has arena advantage and needs to win only home games for going through to final.

“Montepaschi” lost 62:64. Bad play of American Bobby Brown turned out. Two seconds before the final siren he committed foul against compatriot Michael Green. Then, Brown missed 3-point and his team lost.

“Montepaschi” scored 4 from 20 3-point and 12 from 13 free throws. Daniel Hackett was the best from “Montepaschi” with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Brown earned 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

Sanikidze was not in lineup. He earned 2 points and 4 rebounds in 11 minutes. The Georgian forward scored both two free throws, had one turnover, received 2 personal fouls and 2 fouls were committed against him.

“Montepaschi” will host other two semifinal games. The games will be held on May 30 and June 1. The teams need to win 4 games.
