Georgian basketball player Viktor Sanikidze transferred to “Unics” Kazan. The website of the Russian clubs reports it. The Georgian forward signed one-year contract with “Unics”.

Sanikidze spent the previous season in “Zaragoza” and was one of the leaders of the club. The Georgian will play at Russian Cup, VTB League and Euroleague qualifying round with “Unics”.

Olga Akhsanova, vice-president of “Unics”, made the following comment about the transfer.

“Head coach Argiris Pedoulakis offered us the candidature of Sanikidze. Viktor is a good player. We trust our head coach.

Sanikidze has to play in EuroBasket qualifying round with the national team. Viktor will join “Unics” at the end of August but the first meeting of the club is planned on August 11”.
