Georgian Sambo Federation will have a new president in two days. On March 30, “Wrestlers Club” in Vake will host a congress. Presidential elections will be the main issue. Temur Giorgadze has run Sambo Federation and Georgian team for 8 months. He will officially leave the position. He wrote a statement about resignation at the beginning of March.

Veteran judoka Soso Liparteliani is the only candidate. What can happen that former head coach of Georgian judo team cannot gain support of the delegates. Then, Liparteliani will name vice-president. He will choose a new head coach of the team.

Temur Giorgadze, head of municipal department of emergency situations, was appointed as a president of Sambo Federation on June 30, 2011. He also ran Georgian Wrestling Federation. It is prohibited by law to run two federations together and Giorgadze stated that he would leave Georgian Wrestling Federation but he made another decision one month ago.
