Fizuli Mammedov, assistant coach of “Ravan”, told azerifootball.com that Kakha Tskhadadze, head coach of “Inter” Baku, and goalkeeper Giorgi Lomaia apologized him for the obscene gesture of Lasha Salukvadze.
“When the players of “Inter” congratulated Vagif Javadov on his scored goal, Salukvadze ran up to our bench and showed us such gesture that I said to me: “Shame on you! Go and celebrate the goal. Why are you provoking people?” Perhaps, Salukvadze is a good football player but he must be a good person as well. First of all, he must know that he represents his country in Azerbaijan. This behavior does not suit him as a sportsman and legionary.
First, Lomaia, goalkeeper of “Inter”, came up to us. Lomaia and Kakhaber Tskhadadze apologized for the behavior of their compatriot. Vagif Javadov as a captain, made Salukvadze apologize” – stated Mammedov.
By the way, Disciplinary Committee of the Azerbaijani Football Federation did not punish Salukvadze for this behavior. Tofig Fitulayev, chairman of the committee, made the following statement:
“I do not know about this incident. Our committee discusses those incidents which are in the report of the match. So, the disqualification of Salukvadze was not discussed. If Lasha did such gesture, referees must have seen and written it down in the report”.
