Football club “Saburtalo” which is the most organized academy in Georgia has great goals. According to the managers of the club, the goal is to provide Georgian age teams and to establish football players in European clubs. Besides this, “Saburtalo” will play in First League of Georgian Championship.

As you know, “Saburtalo” has Spanish head coach Andreas Carasco from Spanish “Malaga”. The Spanish specialist will head age teams of “Saburtalo”. Carasco arrived in Tbilisi on March 12 and will stay in our capital for one week. The Spanish held lectures for coaches.

Tariel Khechikashvili, president of “Saburtalo”, general director Kakha Chumburidze and Andrea Carasco talked about future plans in the press conference hall of “Bendela”.

Tariel Khechikashvili: “According to different polls, football school “Saburtalo” is the best in Georgia. It is very important for us to provide Georgian age teams with football players and to send them to European clubs. That is why, we invited Carasco to Georgia. He is one of the best children’s coaches in Spain. He will help us to reach European football level. It will be good if other Georgian clubs do the same”.

Kakha Chumburidze: “We invited Carasco for improvement. He has worked for “Barcelona” for 13 years and has great experience. He has brought up many football stars. We plan to form team which will play in First League. We are ready for it”.

Andreas Carasco: “We talked about the improvement of the club for a long time. Our collaboration will have positive result. Khechikashvili and Chumburidze applied to me with good offers. So, I did not think much. They know I work for “Malaga” and they know my attitude toward Georgians. I just only need to sign contract”.

According to Khechikashvili, Carasco will work for “Saburtalo” officially from June. Now he will return to “Malaga”. The Spanish specialist will sign 3-year contract with the team.

You know, Carasco has worked in Georgia for many years and has been a manager of “Dinamo” Tbilisi. So, he knows Georgia well. Besides that, pupils of “Saburtalo” know English well. Some even know Spanish.

It is worth mentioning that all age teams of “Saburtalo” will hold meeting in Europe. Recently pupils born in 1997 were in Turkey.

“Saburtalo” will collaborate with European clubs. Football players of “Saburtalo” – Beka Kurdadze and Irakli Bidzinashvili are inters in “Malaga”.

It is pleasant that Georgia will host one European tournament a year. “Saburtalo” will hold friendly matches against Italy, Holland, Spain and Germany. There are some talks about Russia and Ukraine.
