Roman Rurua: "Presidium Meeting will be Held"

Domestic contradistinction in Georgian wrestling seems to calm down. But in reality, this problem has not been fixed and we must expect a new scandal in the next few days – Supervisory Board of Georgian Wrestling Federation is going to appoint presidium meeting and it is not excluded that presidential elections will be held. Members of the board protest changes in coaching staffs of freestyle wrestling and age teams. According to Roman Rurua, veteran wrestler and head of Supervisory Board, Luka Kurtanidze, president of the federation, did not have right to make decision on his own and the presidium had to confirm this issue.

“Luka Kurtanidze made a little mistake. If he wanted changes, he could have done it more providently. Now he is in deadlock. He dismissed coaches illegally, appointed new ones and this mistake cannot be improved now. The presidium had to confirm dismissal of the old coaches. The president of the federation did not hope to have support from the members of the presidium. Supervisory Board will gather in the next few days and will appoint the presidium meeting. We will do our best to solve this problem” – Roman Rurua told “World Sport”.
