The 16th round matches of the national football Championship will be held on Sunday-Monday. There is only one meeting on December 8 in Gori between “Dila” – “Zestafoni”. Remained 5 matches will be held on Monday. The calendar of the last weeks of the Championship is laded like the British Boxing day. The teams have to play almost every third day, which is a bit unusual for the Georgian reality. Therefore, it is interesting, how anyone physically withstand such a pace.
Dila (Gori) - Zestafoni
December 8. Gori. “Tengiz Burjanadze.” 14:00
Disqualified: Ferreira (“Zestafoni”)
Referees: A. Krichashvili, L. Todria, I. Ukleba, A. Nonikashvili, B. Ninua, O. Khetsadze (substitute)
In the first circle – 0:2
This is a central match of the round. “Dila” is only 1 point ahead of “Zestafoni” and in case of losing, it will complicate the situation on the standings. On the other hand, they have just entered the top six and are not going to retreat. However, the situation is very interesting in the standings, they are 2 points away from the 3rd and 8th places, that’s why every point has its price.
According to the official website of “Zestafoni”, head coach of the team Gia Geguchadze was in Ukraine these days, successfully prolonged the coaching Pro license and now prepares his apprentices for the match against “Dila”.
The first public TV channel will offer live reportage of this meeting.
Chikhura (Sachkhere) – Merani (Martvili)
December 9. Kutaisi. Central. 14:00
Referees: T. Khuchua, Z. Pipia, Zv. Erkvania, D. Kharitonashvili (substitute)
In the first circle – 2:3
In the previous round “Chikhura” was winning over “Zestafoni” by the goal of Nokiloz Kvaskhvadze, but later Vakhtang Chanturishvili equalized and gained a point for his team and made “Chikhura” lost 2 points. On the same day, leader “Dinamo” won over “Guria” 3:1 and surpassed “Chikhura” with 6 points. That’s why the boys of Soso Pruidze will do their best against one of the outsiders to gain the necessary 3 points. And as for “Merani”, it is already 10 rounds they have not won.
Wit Georgia (Tbilisi) – Sioni (Bolnisi)
December 9. Mtskheta. “Mtskheta Park.” 14:00
Disqualified: Shota Davlashelidze (“Wit Georgia”)
Referees: L. Silagava, D. Chigogidze, A. Kokaia, Kh. Gagnidze (substitute)
In the first circle – 1:1
“Sioni” Bolnisi is the best Georgian team of the last one month. The apprentices of Lado Burduli won 4 matches in a row and improved their position in the standings. Now they have better chance of getting through the upper six, unlike the previous season and if we foresee, that they have many experienced players in the team, reaching the goal should not be difficult for them.
“Wit Georgia” stands one step below “Sioni”, however it is 4 points behind them and will do its best to reduce the deficit to the minimum.
Zugdidi – Dinamo (Tbilisi)
December 9. Ganmukhuri. Central. 14:00
Disqualified: Nikoloz Apakidze (“Zugdidi”); Giorgi Merebashvili (“Dinamo”)
Referees: G. Vadachkoria, B. Chichinadze, L. Varamishvili, G. Kikacheishvili (substitute)
In the first circle – 0:3
New phase begins in the history of “Dinamo”. Malkhaz Zhvania was appointed as a head coach instead of Dusan Uhrin. He is a specialist with quite an interesting vision. According to the official website of the club, Zhvania hold the first training at the Digomi training base. Tamaz Samkharadze, Ramaz Svanadze, Gela Chanturia and Levan Abashidze were his assistants.
Last round “Dinamo” won over “Guria” 3:1 and is leading the standings. As for Zugdidi, they won only once this year. This happened on August 31 against “Sioni”.
Their last meeting in Ganmukhuri last year was noisy. (Then “Zugdidi” lost 0:2) the match became tense at the 56th minute and confrontation between the players also began, due which the main referee Lasha Silagava had to stop this meeting for a while. Everything was followed to the unsporting behavior of Spanish legionary Chisco. In one episode he crashed Apakidze, after which the Spanish player chased the defender of “Zugdidi” and gave a slap in his face, Apakidze fell down on the pitch, helter-skelter began on the field and law enforcement officials had to calm fans on the tribunes. Then Chisco said, that he is sorry about the happened and he has not done this purposely, he said that during the match deliberate provocation had place against him from the defenders of the opponent team.
Then GFF Disciplinary-Technical Committee gave 3-match disqualification to him and fined with 500 GEL.
Guria (Lanchkhuti) – Torpedo (Kutaisi)
December 9. Kobuleti. “Chele Arena.” 14:00
Disqualified: Nika Pirtskhalava, Nika Chanturia (“Torpedo”)
Referees: L. Kvaratskhelia, Z. Berulava, G. Chigogidze, M. Beuklishvili (substitute)
In the first circle – 0:1
As it seems, argument is over in “Guria”. Anyway, in the previous round after the match against “Dinamo”, midfielder of “Guria” Erekle Kiladze said: I am happy that I am a member of this team. There were some problems and we have not trained. It’s a pity that we lost. Next match we have against “Torpedo” and this is important. Nobody thought about the draw with “Dinamo”. We have an ambition and we will play against “Torpedo” for winning. I would like to take this opportunity and thank Ms. Marina Totladze. She stood with us and brought us money. We convinced each other with a big love to go out to the field. Because today we went to play, we will end this season too.
“Torpedo” broke the ice, after losing 5 matches in a row they won over “Spartak” Tskhinvali and now they will fight for getting through the upper six.
Spartaki (Tskhinvali) – Metalurgi (Rustavi)
December 9. Tbilisi. “Mikheil Meskhi.” 14:00
Disqualified: Lasha Chapidze (“Spartak”)
Referees: T. Gvantseladze, Z. Menteshashvili, G. Elikashvili, G. Kruashvili (substitute)
In the first circle – 0:1
At the beginning of November coming of Kakha Kacharava to “Spartak” as a head coach seemed to be lucky. The team, which was in crisis, has won 2 matches. However, three defeats in a row followed this and are in the 2nd place from the bottom again. As for “Metalurg”, they hold last meetings quite good. Now they divide 4th-5th places with 23-23 points together with the team of Gori.
