The Georgian women’s tennis team won the second match in Group II of Euro-African zone at Fed Cup. The Georgians made through to playoff.  

Madrie Le Roux beat Sofia Kvatsabaia 7:5, 6:3 but the Georgians managed to improve the situation.

Sofia Shapatava defeated Chanel Simmonds 6:3, 6:3. In doubles Shapatava and Oksana Kalashnikova won over Simmonds and Natalie Grandin 6:7 (3:7), 7:6 (8:6), 6:3.

Finally, the Georgian team beat the opponent 2:1 and is leading Group B with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On April 18 Georgia and Bosnia and Herzegovina will face each other and winner will take the first place in the group.
