The Georgians Finished with 5-5 Points

Alexandre Danin of Russia (2602) won the Paul Keres Memorial in the capital of Estonia, Tallinn. The Russian earned 7.0 points in 9 rounds and was 0.5 point ahead of his nearest opponent.

2 Georgian chess players participated in the tournament. In the last round Akaki Shalamberidze (2372) lost to Daniil Lintchevski (Russia, 2541) and took the 21st place with 5.0 points.

As for Varlam Vepkhvishvili (2185), he beat Valentin Dragun (Russia, 2002) and took the 30th place with 5.0 points. It is worth mentioning that Vepkhvishvili was No.30 seed and Shalamberidze – No.18 seed.
