The Georgians Are Half Point behind the Leaders

After three rounds, four chess players are leading the Hyderabad tournament. These chess players are Vladislav Borovikov (Ukraine, 2558), Azer Mirzoev (Russiam 2508), Mikhail Mozharov (Russia, 2508) and Gujrathi Vidit Santosh (India, 2582).

The members of the Georgian delegation have the same points. Merab Gagunashvili (2556), Levan Pantsulaia (2595) and Tornike Sanikidze (2553) have 2.5-2.5 points. They are in the 5th, 15th and 16th places.

In the fourth round the Georgian chess players will face the Indians: Pantsulaia – Prasad Arun (2529), Gagunashvili – Das Neelotpal (2445) and Sanikidze – Kumar Praveen (2281).

The tournament is based on Swiss system and will end up on 3 December. Ivan Popov of Russia (2652) is No.1 seed, Pantsulaia – No.2 seed, Gagunashvili – No.9 and Sanikidze – No.10.
