In the fourth round of the 41^st Olympiad the Georgian women’s chess team played 2:2 with Netherlands.

Bela Khotenashvili (2492) defeated Zhaoqin Peng (2391). Lela Javakhishvili (2478) lost to Anne Haast (2324). Salome Melia (2475) played draw with Bianca Muhren (2314) and Nino Batsiashvili (2435) – with Tea Lanchava (2276).

The Georgian ladies have 7.0 points and are in the 16^th place. China, Indonesia, Hungary, Russia and Iran are leading with 8-8 points.

In the 5^th round the Georgians will face Russia.

The Georgian men chess players had successful day. They beat Mexico 2.5:1.5. Baadur Jobava (2713) and Levan Pantsulaia (2581) won over Leon Hoyos (2517) and Luis Fernando Ibarra Chami (2467). Mikheil Mchedlishvili (2618) failed to Gilberto Hernandez Guerrero (2519). Gaioz Nigalidze (2541) played draw with Luis Carlos Torres Rosas (2351).

The Georgian men’s team earned 7.0 points and is in the 11^th place. Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and Serbia are leading the tournament.

In the 5^th round the Georgians will play Belgium.
