Georgian U-15 judo team took the first place at the prestigious international tournament “European Cup” in Hungary. The Georgian judokas won 4 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals.
Nikoloz Kobaidze (40kg), Shatir Sherazadashvili (66kg), Otar Gogidze (73kg) and Amiran Tsikoridze (81kg) competed in “European Cup” without a loss. Aleko Mamiashvili (50kg), Aleko Sulakadze (60kg), Nata Kipshidze (40kg) and Eteri Liparteliani (52kg) were one win away from the championship. Giorgi Tutashvili (40kg), Giorgi Mgebrishvili (45kg), Nugzar Tabliashvili (55kg), Nino Mgeladze (48kg) and Salome Mchedlishvili (63kg) took the third places.
14 of the Georgian U-15 team participated in “European Cup” and only Mariam Todua (44kg) was left without medal. She wrestled in repechage final and finally, took the 5th place.
This age team is preparing for European Youth Olympic Festival 2015 which will take place in Tbilisi.
