Bronze of Papinashvili at Masters

 

A Georgian judoka Amiran Papinashvili, 60 kg weight category, won the 3-rd place at Tyumen (Russia) World Masters and added 280 points to his ranking.

The lightest member of the Georgian national team spent only three bouts in the tournament. The first, quarterfinal, lost to Kazakh Eldos. In the semifinals, he defeated Mongol Amartuvšina Dashdav, making the 5-minute ippon, while "final bronze" put on the shoulders of Russia's Beslan Mudranov.

As we have informed, today the Medal Award in the first three weight categories. Today Shalva Kardava (66 kg), Zebeda and Tatalashvili Nugzar Rekhviashvili (73 kg) also wrestled but lost in the first round and eliminated from the tournament.

Tomorrow will feature Avtandil Čhrikishvili, Levan Tsiklauri (81 kg), Varlam Liparteliani, Zviad Gogochuri (both-90 kg), Adam Okruashvili (+100 kg) and women's national team member Irina Leonidze (+78 kg).
