Papinashvili Gained Bronze

 

Georgian National Judo Team finished the first day at Paris Grand Slam with on medal. Amiran Papinashvili (60kg) gained a medal in a 60kg weight category. He won 4 matches from 5 and took the third place.
Georgian judoka lost the chance of winning gold-silver in ¼ final as a result of failure with Russian Beslan Mudranov. Before that match he beat Yasin Mudatir of Morocco and Mongolian Kherlan Ganboldi. In repechage match he beat South Korean Von Jin Kim and Brazilian Phlipe Kitadai with ippones.
Today on French tatami Betkil Shukvani (60kg), Tristan Peikrishvili, Tornike Tatarashvili (both of them 66 kg), Nugzar Tatalashvili and Zbeda Rekhviashvili (both of them 73 kg) wrestled. Peikrishvili, Tatarashvili and Tatalashvili stayed beyond the tournament in the first stage. Shukvani and Rekhviashvili went through repechage semi-final and took the seventh place.
Today champions and prize-winners will b found out in the left weight categories: 81, 90, 100 and+100kg. Avtandil Chrikashvili (81kg), Varlam Lipartliani (90kg), Lasha Guruli, Davit Loriashvili(both of them 100kg), Adam Okriashvili and Giorgi Zakariadze (both of them +100kg) will wrestle.
