Nikoloz Chikaidze (63 kg) and Zviad Pataridze (100 kg), members of the Georgian cadet Greco-Roman wrestling team, made through to the final of the 2014 Cadet European Championship which is under way in the city of Bulgaria, Samokov. They won licenses for Youth Olympic Games which will take place in Nanjing this summer.
Today champions and prize winners will be found out in 5 weight classes. The Georgian team had participants in all five weight classes. Only Chikaidze and Pataridze held the morning program without a loss.
Nikoloz Chikaidze defeated Nenad Jotanovic of Croatia, Virgil Alexander Bica of Sweden, Andrej Kurockin of Germany and Toni Tapio of Finland. In the final he will face Arman Baghdasaryan of Armenia. Pataridze beat Ioannis Sidiropoulos of Greece, Florian Match of Austria and Arsen Sycho Bopembe of Belarus. In the final he will wrestle Lenard Istvan Berei of Romania.
Today Tornike Meladze (46 kg), Davit Markoidze (54 kg) and Guram Khetsuriani (76 kg) also wrestled on the Bulgarian mat but they finished European Championship in the morning block.
The final block will start at 20:00 Tbilisi time.
