Chess club “Nona” finished European Chess Club Cup with triumph in Spain. The Georgian chess players won all 7 games and gained the main prize of the tournament.

In the last round “Nona” defeated “Nashe Nasledie” of Russia 2.5:1.5. Nana Dzagnidze (2566) beat Valentina Gunina (2540), Salome Melia (2464) – Olga Girya (2476). Bela Khotenashvili (2507) played draw with Alexandra Kosteniuk (2543). Nino Batsiashvili (2426) failed to Alina Kashlinskaya (2433). Miranda Mikadze (2242) also played for the Georgian club.

“Nase Nasledie” took the third place and won bronze medals. “Monte Carlo” won silver medals with 10 points. “Nona” earned 14 points.
