Revaz Mindorashvili, head coach of the Georgian freestyle wrestling team, named the sportsmen for the only international tournament in preparation cycle of World Championship. On 3-4 August the Stepan Sargsyan Memorial will be held in Vanadzor, Armenia, and 12 Georgians will wrestle on the mat.

Mindorashvili filled the Armenian list with the main candidates. Geno Petriashvili (120kg) is the only loss. He won European Youth Championship and is preparing for World Championship (13-18 August. Sofia). That is why he will not be able to participate in the Armenian tournament.

Davit Modzmanashvili and Davit Sakandelidze will wrestle in +100kg. Georgia will have two-two participants in 66, 74, 84 and 96kg. Giorgi Edisherashvili will wrestle in 55kg and Vladimer Khinchegashvili – in 60kg.

The freestyle wrestlers will hold two meetings in Georgia. World Chamionship will take place in Budapest on 16-22 September.
