Aleksandre Metreveli, the Georgian tennis player, went through the main draw of the current tournament (10 000 USD) in Shymkent (Kazakhstan).
In the qualification, #5 seed Metreveli beat 2 Kazakh opponents. At first he won over Bogdan Valiev – 6:0, 6:0 and then overcame Aleksey Nesterov – 6:2, 3:6, 6:2.
The opponent of the Georgian for the main draw will be known later. But it is already known, that Aleksandre will not take part in the doubles tournament.
In the ranking of Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), Metreveli has 5 points and is in the 1232th place. Nikoloz Basilashvili has the best result among the Georgians. He has 102 points and is in the 386th place.
