Georgian Wrestling Federation did not release any information about annulling a 6-month disqualification of freestyle wrestler Davit Marsagishvili (84 kg). Today the Georgian sportsman wrestled at the international tournament.
One of the leaders of the Georgian team won bronze medal at “Golden Grand Prix” in Baku. Giorgi Edisherashvili (55 kg) and Vladimer Khinchegashvili (60 kg) had the same results.
Marsagishvili lost gold-silver chance in the first round. He lost to Soslan Kotsoev of Russia (2:11). The Georgian sportsman won over Tamerlan Tagziev of Russia (8:3) and Dauren Kurugliev of Russia (11:2).
After beating Zoheir El Quarrange of France (7:0), Edisherashvili lost to Fumikata Morishita of Japan (0:7) in semifinal. The Georgian defeated Bazar Zhalsapov of Russia (13:6) in repechage final.
In semifinal Khinchegashvili lost to Ahmenag Kvarzatilov of Azerbaijan (0:7). Before that, the Georgian beat Masakazu Kamoi of Japan (10:2) and Daulet Niazbekov of Kazakhstan (6:4). In “bronze final” Khinchegashvili defeated Soslan Aziev of Russia.
Malkhaz Zarkua (66 kg), Dato Kerashvili (96 kg) and Elizbar Odikadze (120 kg) also wrestled today but they could not get in Top 3.
