Iakob Makarashvili, member of the Georgian freestyle wrestling team, won the first fight at World Championship which is under way in Budapest.

In 74 kg the Georgian wrestler defeated Evan James MacDonald of Canada 8:5 and made through to 1/16 final where he will wrestle against Ezzatollah Akbari of Iran. The Iranian wrestler won over Alexandru Burca of Romania 10:2.
