Today champions and prize winners of 74 kg will be found out at World Championship in Budapest. Iakob Makarashvili will wrestle in the name of Georgia. He will have a debut at the championship.

39 sportsmen will wrestle in 74 kg. Iakob Makarashvili is No.37 and will wrestle in the first round.

The Georgian wrestler will wrestle against Evan James MacDonald of Canada. In case of victory, Makarashvili will wrestle either Alexandru Burca of Moldova or Ezatolah Abbas Akbarizarinkolae of Iran. Gia Chikhladze of Ukraine is on the side of Makarashvili’s draw. Their ways are crossed in ¼ final. In semifinal the Georgian may face Gabor Hatos of Hungary.

On the second side of the draw there are Russia, Bulgarian, Azerbaijani and Uzbek wrestlers. Olympic and world champion Jordan Ernest Burroughs of America is one of the main favorites of the tournament.

The first fights will start at 15:00 Tbilisi time.
