Revaz Lashkhi (60kg), member of Georgian Greco-Roman wrestling team, finalist of Olympic games and Europe Champion (2011), lost the chance of gold-silver medal in the first round of the current Championship in Budapest. He unexpectedly lost against Kazuma Kuramota of Japan (0:5).

Today, the medals are awarded also in 84 and 96 kg weight categories in Budapest. Giorgi Tsirekidze (84kg) and Vasil Imerlishvili (96kg) will wrestle in the name of Georgia. Imerlishvili has already held one meeting – he won over Mehdi Abas Dazmir of Netherlands in 55 seconds (5:0).
