The 18-year-old Lasha Dvali is in “Reading” for one month and half. The day before yesterday he played in a friendly match of U-21 team. Dvali played the last 15 minutes against “Shrewsbury” (4:1). Last year Dvali played for “Skonto” Riga.
“World Sport” contacted Dvali:
- I was injured and could not play for the U-19 team. One month ago I started practicing in U-21 team of “Reading”. As I have just recovered from the injury, I played only the last 15 minutes. I feel much better now.
- Was it your first match in England?
- It was the first match in U-21 team. Last year I played for the U-18 team.
- You are young but are you allowed to play for the main team of “Reading”?
- I am not allowed to play in the official matches because if you are from the EU country and have not held 75 per cent in the national team, you are not allowed. Perhaps, “Reading” will send me on loan.
- Where?
- I do not know yet. On January 14 I will play in the U-21 team. Perhaps, it will be decided till January 20.
- Is it tough for you to be in England?
- Everybody lives for football here. Professionalism is on high level and I am developing too. I am the only Georgian here.
- Are you a left central defender or left wing defender?
- For example, in this match I played as a central midfielder. I prefer playing as a left wing defender. I think I played on this position better.
