Manuchar Kvirkvelia (74 kg) leader of Georgian Greco-Roman style wrestlers gained silver medal at international tournament named after Nikola Petrov in the city of Bulgaria, Burgous. According to information of Bulgarian Wrestling Federation Kvirkvelia lost with Romanian Ionel Pushkashu. European, World and Olympic Champion managed to beat three rivals, but their names are not known.
Today champions and prize winners will be found out in 96 weight category, but Georgian wrestlers Sandro Dikhaminjia and Soso Jabidze could not manage to win medals. Dikhaminjia lost with Elis Guri, soon he wrestled in repechage but in spite of this chance did not took bronze medal. Jabidze stayed beyond the tournament.
Tomorrow champions and prize winners will be found out in 60, 84 and 120 weight categories. Vladimer Gegeshidze (84 kg) and Dimitri Javakhishvili (120 kg) represent Georgia. Lasha Gogitidze (55 kg), Anton Mamageishvili and Archil Turmanidze (both of them 66 kg) wrestle the day after tomorrow.
