One round before the end of the group round of “Heineken Cup” two teams of the Georgian legionaries guaranteed playing in play off. One team still has a chance.
In the first group “Castres” of Anton Peikrishvili lost a chance of playing in play off. The club hosted “Leinster” of Ireland and lost 22:29 in front of 8 000 spectators. The Georgian showed up at the 51st minute when his team was winning 17:12 but the French club could not keep its advantage.
In the second group “Toulonnais” of Kote Mikautidze and Levan Chilachava beat “Cardiff” 43:20 and gained bonus point. Mikautadze started playing at the 50th minute. In the last round “Toulonnais” will play “Glasgow” in Scotland and will try to keep the status of the first place club.
In the third group “Toulousain” of Jaba Bregvadze and Vasil Kakovin hosted “Saracens” of England without the Georgians. “Toulousain” won 21:11. In the last round the French club will play outsider “Zebre” in Italy.
In the fourth group “Clermont” of Davit Zirakashvili beat “Harlequin” 16:13 in England and took the first place. The Georgian rugby player played from the beginning till the 68th minute.
In this group “Racing Metro” of Davit Khinchagishvili hosted “Scarlets” without the Georgian legionary and lost 13:19. “Racing Metro” is in the last place. In the last round “Clermont” will host “Racing Metro”.
In the fifth group “Montpellier” of Mamuka Gorgodze and Mikheil Nariashvili lost to “Ulster” 16:27. Gorgodze did not play. Nariashvili played the last 20 minutes.
In the sixth group “Edinburgh” of Dimitri Basilaia played “Perpignan” of Giorgi Zhgenti without the Georgians. Both of them are injured. The Scotts won 27:16 and are in the second place.
