Basketball club “Zaragoza” defeated “Unicaja” Malaga (76:67) in the last round of Spanish Championship and they managed this without Giorgi Shermadini. It appears that the Georgian player has a back trauma and his play in the next round is under the question.

Head coach of “Zaragoza” Jose Luis Abos talked about the situation around Shermadini: “He had pains in his back and it was preventing him during the trainings. He could not even move. Let’s see, maybe the situation turns better”.

As it is known doctors will examine the condition of the Georgian center again on Monday morning and will plan the further procedures. The chance to take part in the final meeting is very small for Shermadini. For instance, on December 30 “Zaragoza” will host “Valladolid”.

It should be noted that in the recent period, Georgian basketball players got traumas. Before Shermadini, Zaza Pachulia, Manuchar Markoishvili and Levan Patsatsia left the arena for various reasons.
