After the match of Georgia – Poland, there were different emotions in the opponent side. It was seen also in comments. Dirk Bauerman explained the defeat of his team with their weakness and he did not say anything about the good game of Georgian team. For its part, Igor Kokoshkov called his players to forget this success as soon as it is possible and to get ready for the match against Croatia. And one more thing, after the game, everybody mentioned that the fate of the game was decided in the first minutes, where the Georgian players let their opponents to score only 22 points…

Igor Kokoshkov: “I am happy with the victory. We were playing against strong team and we had a huge responsibility. We played a month ago against Poland and we lost. We had to conclude correctly and we did it. During the absence of Pachulia and Shengelia, there was a huge responsibility on Shermadini and I think that he played well. He played well either in defense or in attacks. It’s a matter of course that good start is good, but we will have a hard match against Croatia and we must prepare for this”.

Manuchar Markoishvili: “During absence of Zaza Pachulia and Tornike Shengelia, there was a fear that the match will be difficult. But we played well in defense and this result was only 22 points of opponents. That says a lot. First of all, we made a great word. It is good, that we have a new players in the team and they are trying to find their place in the national team. In comparison with the previous European Championship, our team is experienced and this is also our advantage. As out coach mentioned, the main game will be against Croatia.”

Giorgi Tsintsadze “Those, who do not believe in our success, we proved that we can play well. We passed a good preparatory period, and so this outcome was obvious. Perhaps, the Polish team did not expect such game. We beat one of the best teams in Europe”.

Dirk Bauerman: “We never expected what happened. But it happens – sometimes player does his best and sometimes no one can change anything. The Georgians were easily completing the attacks and we were not able to do something. This should no longer happen, otherwise we have nothing to do at the European Championship”.

Przemislaw Szamoyski: “The reason of the defeat, was our terribly played first half. There were was no communication among the players and in the end we scored only 22 points. Now we need to forget this match as soon as it is possible and prepare for the next match”.
