Guram Kashia, defender of Georgian national team, said in the conversation with “World Sport”, that the hosts have an advantage for the match against Ireland, which will take place on September 7 in Tbilisi.

Guram Kashia: “It is good that three teams goes out from the qualifying group. Most of our competitors are of such level, who can be won. We hold the first match at home and have an advantage. It is good that the team gathered a week before the match, because we will prepare better”.

-How would you explain a bad start of “Vitesse” in Dutch Championship?

-The scores indicate the opposite, but we did not play badly in the previous matches. Generally, the start of the Championship is always difficult. Moreover, we had to play against such teams, as are “Ajax” and PSV. Misfortune also followed us. I am sure that we will gain so many points in the next matches that we will be in top six. We have a good team.

-Do you think that the fans of the team are a little disappointed?

-Yes, they are and we gave them an occasion. The media criticizes are, but everything is our fault. We have to find the solution.

-As a captain of “Vitesse”, what do you see as the way out of this situation?

-We played well and created a lots of goal moments. However, as I said, the fortune was not on our side. I am sure that this unlucky period will pass soon. There is nothing changeable in the team. I am realist and that’s why I do not speak so positively that I play for “Vitesse”.
