The contract between “Jagiellonia” of Poland and Giorgi Popkhadze has not officially been broken but it might happen. Popkhadze got in the symbolic team five times and fans named him as a discovery of the season. The 27-year-old right defender is in Tbilisi and talked to “World Sport”:

- It was written that I am a free agent but it is not so. Last summer I signed 1+1-year contract but the club has financial problems. That is why we failed the second half of the season. Like many other players of “Jagiellonia”, I have not received my salary completely. I told them I want to become a free agent and I do not care about money.

- Do you have offers?

- Yes, some are from the best clubs of Poland.

- How do you estimate the previous season?

- It was one of the best seasons in my career. I held 26 matches. I had a good press and fans are disappointed about my leave. To tell the truth, I did not want to leave “Jagiellonia” but they cannot pay money and I have no way out.
