Giorgi Tsirekidze, member of the Georgian Greco-Roman wrestling team, won bronze medal at European Championship. The Georgian (80 kg) defeated five opponents on the Finnish mat and won 4 of them.

In the main draw Tsirekidze beat Pascal Eisele of Germany, Daniel Alexandrov of Bulgaria and Hrach Hovhannisyan of Armenia. In semifinal he lost to Peter Bacsi of Hungary. In repechage final Tsirekidze won over Zakarias Berg of Sweden.

So, the Georgian team finished European Championship with bronze medal of Tsirekidze.
