Geno Petriashvili:"I am Happy, That I Celebrate a Debut among Seniors with a Medal"

Wrestling European Championship, which is underway at Tbilisi Sports Palace, is close to the end. Today champions and prize winners were found out in 74 and 120 kg weight categories. Georgian wrestlers Khutsishvili and Petriashvili wrestled there. As you know Khutsishvili injured and could not manage to fight for a medal. As for Petriashvili, he gained a bronze medal. According to the mentioned information, now Goergia has one gold and two bronze medals.

"World Sport" talked to Geno Petriashvili and Rezo Mindorashvili the head coach of Georgian National Team.

Geno Petriashvili:  I am happy, that I won a bornze medal and celebrated the debut among seniors with a medal. I cannot express my feelings in words.

-       Which fight was the most difficult for you?

-      I wrestled almost all the fights well. The most difficult fight was against Ukrainian Alan Zasiev, in the semi-final, which I lost.

-        What was the reason of failure?

-    I did not follow my coach's instruction to the end, I made several mistakes. I will try not to do these mistakes any more in the future and to achieve more success.

Are you satisfied with today's result?

Rezo Mindorashvili: Considering the trauma of Khutsishvili and gaining a medal in debut at European championship by Petriashvili, of course I am satisfied.

Petriashvili wrestled very well. He beat such wrestlers, as the representative of Russian National Team Ali Nursulov, but lost with Alan Zasiev. To my mind, it caused a lack of experience, because this Russian wrestler often beat that Ukrainian one, who beat Petriashvili. 18-year-old sportsman, who gains a medal at such tournament, it talks about how prospective he is.  I believe that he will achieve more success in the future.
